Originally, it is believed that this blend was developed by monks as a rare life’s desire. Humble monks saw tea as an acceptable luxury. Tea is an item that these monks considered good for the soul. Franciscan monks used to drink this tea to keep them awake during long periods of meditation. It is fair to say that this is an ancient and harmonious blend, as it is also used by Buddhist and Taoist monks.
Monk's Blend begins with premium Ceylon Orange Pekoe grown at high altitudes. We blend it with natural flavor oils from vanilla and grenadine, for unique and "heavenly" flavor. Monk's Blend contains high quality black tea, calendula and sunflower petals, and natural flavors.
Monk's Blend is available in teabag and loose leaf form, as well as with caffeine and decaffeinated.
