"Best wishes to everyone at
Kungaloosh; I look forward to ordering from you again."
-- Geoff P., Woodside, NY
At Kungaloosh we aren't big on fancy titles. But we'd like to introduce our team and tell you what we do.
Our
Director of Green carries this title for
two reasons. First, Jason is in charge of marketing which generates green
for our company. Second, Jason is passionate about preserving the Earth for
future generations including his seven year old twins. Jason keeps our
internal processes operating as green as possible, and make sure our
suppliers, vendors and growers are responsible as well. Jason and his wife,
Kristen, founded Kungaloosh.
Jason is also responsible for the silly name of this awesome company. He refuses to share it on the website, but he'll tell you if you send him an email.
Mandy has the best job on the planet most days. She gets to sample the teas before anyone else, and generally speaking, what Mandy likes, Kungaloosh likes.
The Director of Good does more than identify good tea. She also makes sure our company is doing good in the world. She helps connect the dots between our tea drinkers and the people who grow and process the tea. She researches the culture and history of tea, and the people who spend their lives bringing it to us. Kungaloosh is dedicated to improving the lives of our growers and our customers. Mandy has an important role.
Newlyweds, Mandy and Matt, are saving for their dream home, built out of recycled materials including used shipping containers. Who knows, maybe her house will be built out of a box that once transported tea.
In any retail business, fulfillment is critical. We receive massive quantities of tea, package it and deliver it to our customers throughout North America.
This multistep process keeps our business efficient, reduces our impact on the planet, but most importantly keeps our customers smiling. From the time you place your order on our website until you open your mailbox with a smile, Nicole is in charge.
Nicole was our first employee four years ago. During that time she got married, had a baby, watched her husband go off to war, and the entire time she kept smiling. If anyone is an expert at smile fulfillment, it's her.
